POSITION SUMMARY
ThePhysician ContractingSpecialist supports thesystem-widetop linenetrevenueimprovement initiativesforBSHSI'sgrowingphysician networks througheffectiveand timelycontractingandexecution ofinnovativestrategies toaddress opportunities ineachLocalSystemenvironment. Theposition is primarilyresponsiblefornegotiatingand/orworkingwithLocalSystem leadership to supportnegotiationsforphysicianagreements, managinganalytical processesforproposalevaluationand performancemonitoring, identifyingopportunitiesto maximizereimbursementsunderincentivearrangementand otheropportunities to improverevenues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor'sdegreefromanaccredited institutionofhigherlearningin businessadministration, health
administration,financeorrelated discipline.
2. Minimum offive(5)yearsworkingin physicianpracticeoperations,fora payerorcombination ofrelated
consultingexperience.
3. In-depth knowledgeofMedicarereimbursement methodologies.
4. Comprehensiveexperiencein negotiatingphysicianagreementsacrosscommercialandgovernment managed
careproducts.
5. Proficient in theMicrosoftOfficeSuitewithadvancedExcel skills.
6. Highlymotivated individualwith strongnegotiating, planningandcommunication skills.
